Reflective Ground Fabric
This reflective ground fabric is meant to be placed in the middle or tree fruit rows to help speed up maturation and improve color of the fruit. It can allow earlier harvest, especially for early varieties. It is very different from the older mylar style reflective material. Woven from a polyethylene material, the white color helps diffuse the sunlight better into the canopy instead of reflecting it back out of the orchard as does mylar. Also, this fabric is meant to be suspended off the ground to allow better evapotranspiration between the trees.
